As in previous years, three SMEs and a research centre from Picardy have been honoured in the traditional presentation of the INPI Innovation Awards for the Picardy region. We and our fellow prizewinners were presented with the awards during a ceremony held on November 25th at the Picardy Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Amiens, in the presence of Yves Lapierre, Director General of the INPI (French Institute of Industrial Property), André Marcon, Chairman of CCI France (French Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and Jacky Lebrun, Chairman of Picardy CCI. For Antoine HUCHEZ, Chairman of HUCHEZ, this was an occasion to recognise the strategic importance of innovation: "It is important to show that there are companies that are concerned with innovation. These innovative companies, including ourselves, must constantly renew their work in research and development, design and trademark creation". He also added, "Huchez has been doing this for a long time and we have no intention of changing. The INPI awards therefore provide encouragement for this policy, which has now become essential". This recognition on the regional level now enables HUCHEZ to compete in the national INPI Innovation Awards, which will be presented in Paris in January 2014 in the following categories: creativity, vision, boldness, passion, etc.
