The company Bun J Ride specialises in bungee jumping on snow-covered ski jumping ramps to satisfy amateurs of extreme skiing sensations.
The know-how and the expertise of HUCHEZ Engineering were a key factor in its being asked to design, produce and install the first bungee jumping take-off ramp exclusively devoted to snow-based jumps (with skis, snowboard or sledge).
Attached by means of a harness fastened to two elastic cords, the skier builds up speed on the ramp over a distance of about 30 metres and is then thrown into the air for a jump of 40 metres. While ensuring thrilling sensations in total safety, the winch slows the skier's descent then, once stabilised, lowers him to the ground by means of a zip-wire.
Another highly-specific solution completely designed and produced in France by the HUCHEZ Engineering Department.
A report broadcast on France 2 on December 29th, 2014 is dedicated to this first bungee jumping on snow-covered ski jumping ramp in the world.
